Harrisburg Mobilization for Public Transit
Fight Back Pittsburgh is joining Pittsburghers for Public Transit and other transit advocates from across the state and around the country to travel to Harrisburg on February 11th to demand sustainable funding for public transit.
Our public transit system is once more threatened with drastic cuts in September that would cripple the lifelines of our region. On Monday, February 11 at 2pm, you are invited to rally in the State Capitol rotunda in Harrisburg with Pittsburghers for Public Transit, the ATU, and allies from across Pennsylvania.
We will speak out strongly FOR a transportation bill which dedicates longterm funding to sustain public mass transit and AGAINST corrupt corporate privateering of crucial transportation infrastructure that would reduce quality of service and working conditions.
Port Authority buses will pick up all rally participants at Freedom Corner at 7:30 am on February 11th at the intersection of Crawford and Centre. Box lunches will be provided at no charge, and we will be back that same evening.
